Capitol City Christian
Church has had the privilege of reaching out to people in a number of ways and a variety of different places. It is the purpose of the church to carry out the command of Christ to take His message wherever people
live. That message involves the ministry to the people whom we come into contact
with so that through the love that we share we show them that God cares also. Our
goal, as we read in Scripture, is that people from every tribe, language, people, and nation will know about Jesus Christ.
We want every
member to be involved in helping people. That means that much of what we do will
be done right here in Lincoln, Nebraska.
There are opportunities to help at the City Mission, Lincoln Action Program, and The Crisis Pregnancy Center. Opportunities include physical work such as painting, sorting, and moving items that people need. The work also includes
encouraging people and, with some training, helping people to make right choices with their lives.
We support
around 35 different mission organizations that literally reach around the globe. From
the tribal villages of third world countries to modern cities of major nations. God’s
message and God’s people need to be present in all those places. Our hope
is to help you become aware of mission work and encourage you to become a part of meeting the challenge that lies ahead. God leads many different people to do different work—from construction to counseling,
from teaching children to training people on computers, from orphanages to church planting—we want you to find the place
that God has for you.
